Born on the Wirral in 1954.
BA Art & Design, Worcester College of Education 1975.
Qualified Art teacher.
Member of Spike Print Studio.
I create small imaginary paintings in oils and acrylics, often returning to a theme of coastlines or urban edgelands.
My linoprints are characterised by strong white marks against a black background, often with human figures placed in a landscape. I print a limited edition using Intaglio & Lawrence oil based inks on Zerkell and Hahnemuhle etching papers. Titles include ' Waiting for Sunshine' , ' Shoppers ', Seesaw' and ' Your Own Bench ' .
My first large woodcut 'Ninety Six' was exhibited at the 165th RWA Open exhibition. It won the Marcus Fitzgibbon Memorial Purchase Prize and the Evolver Prize.
I am currently creating small drypoint collagraphs which I plan to post on Instagram soon.
